PACKAGING

Packaging is the wrapping of a packaged good to protect the environment or the packaged good itself, for portioning for production/use and also for transport, storage and marketing. The packaging consists of packaging material and packaging aids which in turn enable packaging, sealing and preparation for dispatch.
Packaging logistics is to be understood as a holistic approach that connects the processes and structures of logistics with the processes and structures of packaging. In packaging logistics, both areas interact with each other, complementing and adapting to each other. Thus, the influence of packaging logistics ranges from production, transport and the end consumer to the disposal of the packaging material. Specifically, this involves the planning, implementation and control of coordinated packaging systems. We at Express Loads adhere to international standards of packaging goods, be it for local consumption or export.

Packaging is the Key to Logistics Value Chain

Every step in the value chain is vital and all of them have different requirements in terms of transport and logistics. One of the most crucial, but often under-recognised, steps is packaging. Packaging no longer refers to a simple cardboard box; nowadays it is a complex, coordinated system of ensuring goods can move safely, cheaply and efficiently through the entire supply chain. Packaging not only ensures smooth travel from the final distribution hub to the consumer’s doorstep but also plays an irreplaceable role at all other stages of the logistics process.

What is Cross-Border Cargo?

As its name suggests, cross-border cargo transport refers to the transportation of goods across geographical borders. It entails a lot of planning and the support of a logistics company with years of experience in this type of transportation.

There are many moving parts within the entire cross-border transportation process, here are just a few to get you started:

One of the most critical elements in any transportation process is maintaining good communication. Therefore, having a bilingual staff is vital. This will allow your team to communicate efficiently with drivers and help the process run smoother.

Be Aware During Cross-Border Cargo

There’s a staggering amount of freight being transported cross-borders, and a vast number of it is being hauled by truck. This has become the standard for cross-border cargo transport, allowing many companies to thrive by providing these services.

Even though there’s a lot of freight to be transported, it’s critical to understand how the industry works and the specific elements companies must consider when delivering their goods cross-borders without hiccups along the way.

Express Loads takes care of any paperwork, some special requirements and security clearances. It is essential to count on a transportation partner to ensure all these elements are considered.
